This water shortage contingency plan is designed to reduce water consumption should events such as; extreme drought, mechanical/water system failures or state imposed mandates occur. This plan will be a three phased approach to water conservation within the boundaries of the AFPMWC service area. Conservation measures will gradually increase with each stage. Residents will be given opportunities to voluntarily reduce water consumption in Stage I. If these efforts are not sufficient, then Stage II is implemented, which includes additional mandatory conservation measures. If the first two implemented stages are not sufficient in meeting the conservation goals, then Stage III is implemented, which includes additional mandatory conservation measures. The Water Shortage Contingency Plan will be implemented by AFPMWC Board action, at which such times, shareholders/residents shall be notified of such implementation.
